Archifutures is an editorial project, born from the Future Architecture platform, a space for meeting, activities and debate that has the participation of different European cultural entities linked to the world of architecture in its broadest sense.
With the aim of giving a wide dissemination to the existing volumes, and going beyond the limits of the book as an object, the Archifutures site offers everyone access to the contents, to read, download and compile them in a personalized way. Books in physical format can be purchased in stores and the digital version of each volume can be downloaded with the option of “pay as you wish”.
The design of the web had to respect the design of the books, especially in terms of the layout of each article, and at the same time, be part of the Future Architecture platform line. Being an experimental editorial project, it was conceived as a scalable platform, which over time integrated new functionalities, such as MyBook and the possibility of generating compilations on the fly, or the Open Bookshelf that works as a showcase for the publications of the different Future Architecture platform Members.
Started five years ago, Archifutures became the Future Architecture Library in 2020.
